About us

The Hoendiep II flat is located on the Eendrachtskade Zuidzijde in the lively student city of Groningen. The building is a ten minute walk from the central station and five minutes from the central Vismarkt square. The building has 140 rooms, 24 on each floor with the exception of the ground floor. The ground floor has 20 rooms of which 4 are adapted to accomodate disabled residents.

The resident association was founded in 1987 and is registered at the Dutch Center of Commerce. The purpose of the association is to represent the wishes of its members in regards to their living space. Furthermore is the association a middle man to the overarching GROBOS, the association for all Lefier buildings.

Every resident of the Hoendiep II flat automatically is a member of this resident association. The association does not make any profit. All money that comes in (with the selling of washing machine coins) flows back into the association. The association has statutes and a regulations in which certain rules are put officially. The association has a board of two head residents and an advisory board consisting of six heads of each floor, also called nestoren.

If you have any questions about the association, you can always contact your nestor or one of the head residents.
